SEM HISP MAG 2021 3_220505_185915_10_edited.jpg

Hello

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, migrated at a young age to the city of Lawrence at a young age. Has been a member of Semana Hispana for 5 years and is currently serving as the vice-president of Semana Hispana Executive board. Studied at Lawrence High school and graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from Salem State College. Currently working on a master’s in psychology at Cambridge College. Education is important to and is fundamental for the human being. I have worked as a social worker and case manager for nearly 20 years. Single mother of a beautiful daughter. I like baking and event planning, which are some of my many hobbies. Why Semana Hispana, because it is important to me to continue this tradition that brought me so much joy as a child. And I feel that working for my community in cultural events helps keep our community alive and teaches future generations to continue the tradition.
